Kendall Henderson Competition Coach and Choreographer
Kendall Henderson is a 22 year old woman by age, but about a 78 year old woman according to her soul,
(Hence her earned nickname "Babushka") this old woman loves to play chess, spend nights in watching
classic movies, read immense amounts of books, and her heart just goes boom when she hears any
Otis Redding or Sam Cooke, (or any song between the 40s-70s).
Even though you may sense her old ambiance, she still enjoys living on the edge and seeking new
adventures. Her willingness to experience life to the fullest, thru the ups and downs has allowed Kendall
to gain an array of humbleness, strength, and gratitude for the things and people around her. When she
isn't in the studio teaching, you will find Kendall with her crew and second family U.D.O. An organization
that lives by the words "Aspire to Inspire." Their goal is to simply spread as much love and knowledge as
they can in the Hip Hop community by throwing different work-shops, battles, and performances. This is
where Kendall feels at home and where her love for the Hip Hop culture continues to grow.
Kendall has been training in Hip Hop, Jazz, Contemporary, and Lyrical for 7 years now. Her drive to push
herself to her limits and soak up as much knowledge as she can have transferred over to her abilities
to teach her "little ones"Â at Synergy Dance Academy and various high school drill teams. Teaching has
become more than just a paycheck to her; it has become her being and validation of life. "When you find
what you love and can make it your work, it's a beautiful thing."
When Kendall has spare time, which is rare, she enjoys it with her crew mates, her little brother Izayah,
or in the kitchen cooking up a storm. Cooking has always been in Kendall's back pocket in things she
loved to do but always put on the back burner until recently. She attends The Arts Institute here in Salt
Lake City in hopes of one day owning her own bistro she can call her 3rd studio.
